Where Chefs Eat: Patrick’s Gourmet’s Patrick Garrivier

This innovative business owner and chef frequents South End spots

Folks in the restaurant industry know good food, so we want to know where they eat when they’re not cooking. In this series, we ask a local chef, bartender, restaurateur, or server to share their favorite restaurants in town and what they order there. This week, we interview Patrick Garrivier, the French-born executive chef and owner of Patrick’s Gourmet Catering and former co-owner of Aix en Provence. This entrepreneur and beef connoisseur is all about the sauce.

Patrick’s order: Boneless braised short ribs with sweet and spicy sauce, onion rings, and fried cheesy potatoes

    Flour Shop, Montford Park
A wrap-around counter restaurant that uses handmade and local ingredients
Patrick’s order: Squid ink linguini, North Carolina shrimp, jalapeños and chorizo
