Restaurants opening in Charlotte this week

    Dining rooms are opening daily

As restaurant staffs grow more comfortable with additional sanitation and safety measures, restaurants are beginning to open the doors. Things will be a bit different — servers will be wearing masks, tables will be farther apart, and capacity will be limited, among other changes. Here are some of the restaurants returning to dining in this week.

    June 1

    Good Food on Montford
Bruce Moffett’s small plates spot is taking reservations on Resy, as well as continuing online ordering for takeout. The restaurant’s signature, lively dining room with packed tables has been spread out a bit, and the patio is also ready to welcome guests. Barrington’s and Stagioni are also now open.

    300 East
After doing a soft reopening with walk-in seating only, 300 East reopened its reservation books this week. The restaurant has added outdoor seating along the East Boulevard sidewalk, and will be serving a slightly pared down menu with rotating savory and sweet features. They’ll continue offering curb-side delivery for takeout orders and family-style meals.

    June 2

    Bardo
One of the city’s most elevated dining experiences reopens for dinner service, with reservations encouraged. Cocktail kits and to-go orders will still be available. Bardo is also on our list of favorite restaurants owned by people of color.

    Foxcroft Wine Co.
The wine bar and shop with Charlotte locations in Dilworth, SouthPark, and Waverly is encouraging all guests to make reservations by phone before coming in to prevent diners congregating as they wait for tables. Foxcroft Wine Co. will be getting on Resy next week and taking online reservations after June 9.

    Kindred Restaurant
Milk bread is back! Kindred owner Katy Kindred says they’ve got a busy week already on the books, but she and husband Joe Kindred are making sure to ease into reopening with fewer tables inside and out in order to ensure fewer covers, requiring fewer staff crowding the kitchen.

    June 3

    Angeline’s
The restaurant on the main floor of The Kimpton Hotel in Uptown will open its restaurant and patio Wednesday night. Neighbor Haymaker was also planning to open on June 3, but opted to push opening back due to the protests for equality.

    June 4

    The Fig Tree
With a dining room spread out across rooms in an old house, keeping away from crowds won’t be difficult at The Fig Tree. The restaurant also has patio seating. For those who prefer to stay home, family-style meals and wine packs are available for purchase.

    June 5

    The McNinch House
The historic home-turned-restaurant serving a formal tasting menu reopens on Friday. Set aside time for a long meal and take advantage of the wine pairings.

    Zeppelin
This South End kitchen run by chef Vince Giancarlo didn’t do the curbside pivot. The restaurant, known for local sourcing, will reopen its dining room and patio with reservations suggested on Friday.

    June 6

    Dot Dot Dot
Cocktail bar Dot Dot Dot will host an Elijah Craig dinner, featuring pairings and a coursed meal, instead of opening for normal operations. Tickets can be purchased as tables of two of four and cost $125 per person. —Kristen Wile
