Q&A: New chocolatier, who is Cheat?

Each week, we answer reader questions

Q: I’m so bummed to see Twenty Degrees is closing. Where should I buy chocolate now?!
Kristen: I’d check out JF Chocolat. I think Justin Fry’s offerings are the closest to what you’ll find at Twenty Degrees.

Q: I’m curious if there is there a reason for the name Cheat’s Cheesesteaks? Is it named after someone?
Kristen: It’s not! According to Ryan Hart, one of the owners, the name was inspired by the fit people of South End. He called chef and fellow co-owner Greg Balch with the term “Cheatsteaks,” as  cheesesteaks are a diet cheat day food. The name stuck, and Cheat’s Cheesesteak Parlor was born. They do like the idea that Cheat’s sounds like a fellow you might know. Those who attended our Unpretentious Preview of Cheat’s got to hear the story first-hand!
