Chef Jonny Cox’s seafood-heavy menu delighted diners

By UP Staff

On Monday Oct. 17, our Meet the Chef dinner series made its return with a coursed meal at Uptown restaurant Fin & Fino. Chef Jonny Cox led diners on a journey through his life through the courses, including grits inspired by his dad’s cooking and a dish he believes exemplifies his future as executive chef at Chapter 6, the next restaurant coming from Rare Roots Hospitality.

Our next Meet the Chef dinner will feature Alyssa Wilen of Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen on Nov. 7, 2022. See the menu and purchase tickets for that event here.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our presenting partner, Got to be NC!

According to his answer following a diner question in our Q&A, chef Jonny Cox enjoys making pasta both at home and in his restaurant. His inspiration for this gnocchi and lamb course was from chefs he’s learned from over the years. Tom Petaccia/UP

Between each course, UP editor Kristen Wile hosted a live interview with chef. Tom Petaccia/UP
