Mike Veach bringing his bourbon class to Charlotte
He’s leading a day-long Kentucky bourbon workshop and tasting

The Crunkleton is hosting Mike Veach’s Bourbon Academy this Saturday, February 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The workshop includes a day of classes and tastings, lunch featuring Zach Goodyear’s whole-hog BBQ, and a copy of Veach’s Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey: An American Heritage. Participants also receive a certificate of completion. Tickets are $290 per person. Classes include: the origins of bourbon, 19th and 20th century whiskey, single barrel and small batch bourbons, prohibition, and the current state of bourbon. The day will end with a blind tasting.
Veach, a Louisville, Kentucky native, has spent his career in the distilling industry, focusing on Kentucky bourbon. Veach has become a respected bourbon master and is a member of The Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame as a historian and author.
The Crunkleton is located in Elizabeth at 1957 E. 7th St. A few tickets to the session remain; the class is limited to only 35 participants. —Justin Burke-Samson
