Two popular restaurants opening for lunch

The Waterman and Noble Smoke are adding afternoon hours

There are two new restaurants getting ready for you to add them to your weekday lunch rotation.

The Waterman will begin daily lunch service on Tuesday, Sept. 3 — the day after Labor Day. They’ll open their doors daily at 11:30 a.m. The menu will be the same as the dinner offerings, with a few small changes. Along with the new hours, the restaurant will be adding a longer oyster happy hour Monday through Friday, selling house oysters for $1 each from 2 to 6 p.m.

Noble Smoke, the new barbecue restaurant from longtime Charlotte restaurateur Jim Noble, is also adding lunch hours starting Monday, Sept. 9. They added weekend lunch this past Saturday and Sunday, with an 11 a.m. opening time. The restaurant is remaining open between lunch and dinner hours. —Kristen Wile
