Restaurants fundraising and collecting supplies for Western North Carolina

Here’s where to dine and do good, or drop supplies

    by UP Staff

The damage to Western North Carolina caused by Hurricane Helene has left many without power, water, or ways to contact family and friends. Nonprofits are working quickly to collect and deliver the necessary supplies, with water, solar battery packs, premixed formula, and non-perishable pop-top foods the most in demand. Here are the restaurants collecting donations — and making donations — as part of the relief efforts. This post will be updated.

    1957 Hospitality
The Crunkleton, Rosemont, and Puerta will each serve specialty cocktails and donate proceeds from each to charity. Rosemont: Bee’s Knees (Bluecoat Gin, Lemon Juice, Honey, Orange Twist) and Hanky Panky (Bluecoat Gin, Sweet Vermouth, Fernet Branca, Orange Twist) benefitting Hope Mill Inc.’s hurricane relief fund. The Crunkleton: Bright Days Ahead (Blade & Bow Bourbon, Lemon, Orgeat, Yellow Chartreuse, Sugar, Soda) and New Air (Blade & Bow Bourbon, Agave, Plum Bitters, Orange Bitters, Angostura Bitters), benefitting BeLoved Asheville. Puerta: Tijuana Lady (El Jimador, Licor 43, Lime, Angostura, Montanista, Tequila Ocho, Braulio, Blanc Vermouth) and Montanista (El Jimador, Braulio, Blanc Vermouth) benefiting Do Good: High Country Disaster Relief.

    Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen
The staff at Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen will be preparing and driving meals up to Western North Carolina on Friday. Support their efforts at this link — or drop off nonperishable foods to full up the truck.

Duckworth’s, The Cellar at Duckworth’s, and Link & Pin
The restaurants will donate 5 percent of sales beginning Wednesday, Oct. 9 to Hearts with Hands. The Loft at Duckworth’s will do the same beginning Thursday, Oct. 10.

In October, the restaurant’s round-up campaign will benefit hurricane relief efforts.

    NoDa Brewing Company, NoDa
