Q&A: Saturday brunch, family-size takeout
Each week, we answer your questions about food and drink in Charlotte
Q: I am looking for a brunch restaurant to dine in this weekend. Any suggestions?
UP: Yes, there are a few we think you’ll enjoy! In Plaza Midwood, Bistro La Bon has a great Saturday brunch. You can likely find easy parking in Uptown around brunch time these days, if you want to try Mimosa Grill. Community Matters Café has fantastic offerings, but doesn’t serve alcohol. For all-day brunch spots, try littleSpoon or Lincoln’s Haberdashery.
Q: Are any places still doing family-style meals? I’d love to keep ordering them.
UP: Most restaurants are continuing their takeout programs to try and make up for the revenue lost by cutting seating capacity in half, including family meals. The Crunkleton is serving family-style meals, as are the restaurants in the Moffett Restaurant Group and Rare Hoots Hospitality group. Another great option is Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen.
Q: Any additional restaurants reopening their dining rooms this weekend?
UP: Here’s a list of the restaurants opening this week!
