Q: What’s going on for Bastille Day tonight?
Kristen: We rounded them up in our newsletter this morning: ​Bar à Vins in NoDa is hosting a French wine takeover of its by-the-glass list at 4 p.m., with bottles available to pick up and enjoy at home as well. ​Customshop is hosting a Bastille Day dinner with The Wine Vault, featuring French wines paired alongside seven courses — and a guest appearance from Opera Carolina. ​Mariposa will serve a Bastille Day special of foie gras torchon with two glasses of rosé for $40 beginning tonight for the next few weeks. Renaissance Pâtisserie in SouthPark will serve red, white, and blue cake pops, eclairs, macarons, and more along with regular pastry offerings.
