Q: Are there any bakeries making Black Russian rye or other Black Russian breads?
UP: We asked around and can’t seem to get a concrete answer. Most say to try an international market, one source says Nova’s has been known to make a Black Russian bread periodically. We will continue to keep an eye out for these breads and update here.

Q: Is Dish going to become another BBQ joint?
UP: This has been the burning questions since yesterday, and the answer is no. Lewis has said he wants to keep the classic Dish menu items on and work to refine a few things and incorporate more locally sourced ingredients.

Sadly, Nova doesn’t make a Black bread .. not that I’ve ever saw – and I’ve been a customer there since it opened. Maybe if someone were to whisper at Ashley Anna Tuttle at Community Cafe or Sam Allen at Wentworth & Fenn, they might accommodate a special request. Both make excellent rustic breads overall.
