Previewing the menu at Aix Rotisserie
The food stall will serve rotisserie meats, and classic French pastries

When Aix en Provence owners Patrick Garrivier and Bryan St. Clair first signed on to run a food stall out of Optimist Hall, they initially planned on doing rotisserie chicken. When they hired pastry chef Alain Rudaz, however, they decided they needed a bigger space.
When the food hall opens later this year, Aix Rotisserie will serve rotisserie chicken and prime rib, each with a side of hand-cut fries and a mixed greens salad. However, there will now also be a patisserie component. Aix’s space is right near the entrance to the food hall, meaning it will be tempting to grab some of their desserts or breads on your way out the door.

A coffee tart, which will be on the menu at Aix Rotisserie.
Here’s a mouth-watering list of what Rudaz will be baking for the food stall:
- Artisan breads
- Croissants (plain, almond, and chocolate)
- Eclairs
- Fruit tarts and danishes
- Mille feuilles (a pastry with custard)
- Pound cake
- Macarons and assorted French cookies
- Rum baba
And, of course, Paris Brest, one of our favorite Aix en Provence desserts. The menu may be simple, but we’re really looking forward to that chicken. Miss the news on Optimist Hall?
