Owner of Craft Cakes CLT will appear on Food Network

Craft Cakes CLT chef and owner, Brigitte Oger, will compete on Food Network next week. Oger will compete on Chopped: Sweets Showdown, a five-episode dessert only challenge based on Food Network’s regular series Chopped. The winner from each episode will move on to the finale and compete for the $50,000 grand prize.

Each episode of the challenge will have four chefs competing. The mystery basket will include a dessert-themed ingredient that each competitor must use during all three rounds during the limited time and cannot repeat the same usage of the ingredient from the previous round.

Craft Cakes CLT is a small batch cake shop that specializes in locally sourced vegan and gluten free cakes. Oger’s cakes have gained attention for being abstract masterpieces making Craft Cakes CLT a popular cake shop in Charlotte.

The show, hosted by Ted Allen, airs on Tuesday, October 15 at 9 p.m. on The Food Network. –Justin Burke-Samson
