Fin & Fino temporarily closed after sprinkler malfunction
Much of the restaurant faced water damage

Fin & Fino is temporarily closed after a sprinkler malfunction flooded the restaurant. General Manager Tim Buchanan says the malfunction happened last Tuesday around midnight as Fin & Fino’s lead bartender Brittany Kellum was leaving. The fire department responded quickly, but the downpour of water soaked the insulation, ceiling, and walls.
The restaurant has since been closed for repairs, which include installing new insulation, drywall, and repainting the walls, as well as some repairs to the floor. Insurance will cover the lost revenue, and the restaurant staff’s would-be wages will also be paid, with gratuity factored in. Guests who show up for dinner or drinks have been encouraged to visit one of the restaurant’s sister concepts, Dogwood or Dressler’s, or nearby restaurants La Belle Helene or Haymaker.
Buchanan says that the restaurant will reopen for business on Thursday. Haven’t been? Read our review here. —Kristen Wile
