Dilworth Tasting Room will undergo a small renovation in the coming weeks to add more seating. To do so, owner Jaffer Kovic will minimize the footprint of the retail area to add tables there. New floor-to-ceiling wine racks will be installed to hold more bottles, giving Dilworth Tasting Room enough space to add three large tables. The additional seating will hold another 40 guests.

Wine will continue to be available for retail purchase, though there will no longer be a designated retail side of the space.

Kovic says customers view Dilworth Tasting Room as more of a restaurant and wine bar than a store, so it made sense to follow their preferences and habits and add more seating.

The brick wall in the current retail section will be hung with old photos and memorabilia to honor Dilworth Billiards, the beloved pool hall that spent years in the space. —Kristen Wile
