Carolina beers: Pumpkin latte blonde
Sycamore Brewing’s pumpkin beer includes their upcoming coffee line

Sycamore Brewing, Pumpkin Latte Blonde. Justin Burke-Samson/UP
Beer: Pumpkin latte blonde
Brewery: Sycamore Brewing
Location: South End
On the nose: Smooth and lightly spicy with a touch of caramel
On the palate: Robust blend of autumn spices with coffee undertones making it less sugary like other pumpkin beers with a bitter note at the end.
On the plate: This beer is not too sweet and not too bitter making it a good choice for either savory or sweet meals. Casseroles, stews, and braised meat would pair nicely with this seasonal beer. Scoop some caramel or vanilla ice-cream and make a beer float for dessert.
Our take: For a pumpkin beer, this one is not to be ashamed for liking. Its smooth and rich but doesn’t leave you feeling heavy, an easy beer to drink more than one of. This is Sycamore’s first beer using their upcoming coffee line, Beach Shack Coffee.
