Where to get beer and wine curbside or delivered
Retail shops are making it easier to stock up
During the mandated coronavirus shutdown, bars, wine shops, and breweries are able to sell beer and wine to-go or for delivery. Many of the restaurants selling food to go are also offering their complete wine and beer by the bottle list. Here are the retailers doing the same, as well as the places selling pre-made cocktail kits. —Kristen Wile
Arthur’s Wine Shop
Call and order your wine, pay via card, cash, or check, and your order will be delivered to your car Monday-Friday from noon to 2 p.m.
Assorted Table Wine Shoppe
Deliveries of more than $100 within 10 miles of the 7th Street Public Market wine merchant are free (you must be home to show I.D.), and curbside pickups are available Monday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Delivery can include anything from the store, as well as bitters and collectibles.
Bardo
Make some of Amanda Britton’s top cocktails with to-go kits that only require you to add the spirit at home. Each kit is $8, and includes instructions. Order them for curbside pickup or delivery within a seven-mile radius between 4:30 and 8:30 p.m. Drinks include The Cooling Effect and Wilmore Paloma.
Black Chicken Wine Cellar
Curbside pick-up is available from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., as well as home delivery of orders including six or more bottles.
Birdsong Brewing Co.
Call the taproom to order beer online and have it brought to your car from 3 to 7 p.m.
The Bohemian
The Plaza Midwood wine shop is offering free delivery of food and wine on orders $35 and more between 2 and 8 p.m. within three miles of the shop. You can also get curb-side pickup.
The Cellar at Corkbuzz
Get 10 percent any order of six bottles or more for pick-up, or free delivery if you live within a five-block radius.
Dilworth Tasting Room
Order wine and beer online and pick up curbside from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The shop is also offering a rotating cocktail kit.
Dot Dot Dot
The Park Road Shopping Center cocktail bar is now offering kits to make their best drinks at home, including Lily Wants a Pony, an old-fashioned, Moscow mule, paloma, and mint julep. Each kit serves up to a dozen drinks (liquor not included). Order online and pick them up Thursday through Saturday.
Foxcroft Wine Co.
Purchase wine and pick it up curbside from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Purchase six bottles and get 10 percent off, or 15 percent off your order of 12 bottles.
NoDa Brewing
The brewery’s North Tryon location has become a drive-through beer stop, selling build-your-own four packs, $10 crowlers, and $15 growlers daily from noon to 7:30 p.m.
