Q&A: Seven fishes and food gifts
Each week, we answer your questions about food and drink in Charlotte

Aqua e Vino will host a Feast of the Seven Fishes dinner on Christmas eve. Kristen Wile/UP
Q: Where can we find a good Feast of the Seven Fishes?
UP: Aqua e Vino does one each year, and that one is probably the most traditional. Aqua e Vino, an Italian restaurant in Strawberry Hill, hosts theirs on Christmas Eve for $80 a person. See the details here. The Porter’s House is also hosting one on Sunday, Dec. 22, and it’s a true seven-course meal.
Q: Is there anything food-related I can get for a teenager who loves spending time in the kitchen?
UP: I’d recommend a class at Sweet Spot Studio. The hands-on themed baking classes have options geared toward just about any age group. And you can browse our gift guide for more inspiration!
Q: When are you guys coming to eat at The Porter’s House?
UP: We can’t tell you that, can we? But soon!
