    Haberdish kicks off 10 days of tiki

    Bartender Colleen Hughes has come up with an impressive menu of tiki cocktails


    From Aug. 8 through Aug. 18, the bar at Haberdish will be taken over by beach vibes for Tiki Wiki. Bartender Colleen Hughes’ usual menu will be replaced with a menu of tiki drinks, some true to classics and others that only Hughes could come up with.

    The heart of the menu is a section of rum drinks, including a hurricane, rum punch, and mai tai. There’s also a barrel-aged jungle bird —generally made using rum, Campari, lime, pineapple, and simple syrup — made with rum aged in a Campari barrel. We can only imagine the complexity of that cocktail. You can find tiki-inspired drinks made with other spirits, too, including a Kentucky colada made with Maker’s Mark 46. Yum. Drinks will range from $11 to $18.
