Famed mixologist and author Jim Meehan is bringing his book tour to Charlotte. Meehan is a widely recognized name in spirits, and his book Meehan’s Bartender Manual is a must-have for professional and home mixologists alike. He’s doing a North Carolina book tour, and will stop at cocktail bar Dot Dot Dot on Jan. 23 at 2 p.m.
Meehan is the mind behind PDT (Please Don’t Tell), a renowned cocktail bar in New York. His first book, The PDT Cocktail Book, was inspired by the bar. Meehan’s Bartender Manual, his follow-up book released in late 2017, won a James Beard Award in the Beverage Book category.
During his Charlotte stop on the North Carolina tour, Meehan will speak and sign copies of Bartender’s Manual. Dot Dot Dot is selling $30 tickets that include a copy of Meehan’s book. Free tickets to the event are already sold out, but Dot Dot Dot mixologist and owner Stefan Huebner says to check EventBrite leading up to the event, because more tickets might open up. The bar will provide a welcome cocktail to guests. Get your tickets here. —Kristen Wile
