    by Anita Skogland

Q.S.S. Rare Vinho Verde DOC NV, Portugal

Available at: Pasta & Provisions, Myers Park
    Price: $12.99

On the Nose: Bright lime, citrus, spritz
On the Palate: Crisp apple, medium acidity, short finish, lemon/lime, hint of peach, palate cleansing
On the Plate: Chilled shrimp, steamed clams, creamy cheeses, Bibb lettuce salad, ceviche

Our Take: A light, refreshing wine that will compliment delicate foods and can be served as an aperitif. It is a good value wine to complement fall soups.

Fun Facts: : The Q.S.S. wines are produced northeast of Lisbon at Quinta de São Sebastião. The five wines produced each have a rare or endangered animal picture on the label, from fish to wolves. A percentage of each bottle sold generates a donation to an animal preservation fund.
