On The Nose: Roses, violet, bing cherry, hint of nuts.
On The Palate: Soft fruit, light tannins, medium body, hint of sweetness to finish.
On The Plate: Branzino, rabbit, venison, risotto with peas
Our Take: A very good value that is versatile and flavorful. If drinking in the summer, a slight chill is fine.
Fun Fact: The lees (the crushed skins that settle to the bottom the vat) that remain from the production of Amarone are added to this wine for about a month. The lees add more body and complexity than what you find in a typical Valpolicella. This producers uses Slovenian oak and French oak barrels to add more depth to the flavors.
