Where to order your Thanksgiving desserts
From classic pies to sweet potato fritters

I love to cook dinner, but dessert is something I always seem to mess up. For those of you looking to cook the main course at home but seeking some outside help when it comes to dessert, we’ve got you covered. Here are the places offering only dessert — mostly pies — for Thanksgiving takeaway.
The Batch House
The Batch House’s Thanksgiving menu sold out not long after being posted online, but the bakery will have pies and pastries available on Nov. 24 for walk-in customers.
Community Matters Cafe
Non-profit restaurant Community Matters Cafe is selling whole pumpkin rolls for $24 each, requiring only 48 hours notice for pickup. Order via email to hello@communitymatters.com.
Confections of a Martian
Whether you’re serving them for breakfast or dessert, donuts from former Leah & Louise pastry chef Jasmine Macon are sure to please. Each box includes two of the following flavors: vanilla glaze, sweet potato with toasted marshmallow, French toast, and butter pecan, as well as sweet potato fritter and cinnamon rolls. Pick up will take place at Hex Coffee at Camp North End between 2 and 4 p.m. on Nov. 24; order online.
Dish
Pick up a chocolate pecan pie, vanilla bourbon sweet potato pie, or key lime pie from this Plaza Midwood comfort spot, which is also selling deviled eggs by the dozen. Pies $21-$26, order by phone to 704-344-0343.
Milk Glass Pie
Milk Glass Pie offers made-from-scratch old-fashioned pies. Pie options include Cider Caramel Apple Pie, Gingered Sweet Potato Pie with Salted Pecan Crumb Crust, Black Walnut Buttermilk Pie with Hibiscus Cranberry Relish, Heirloom Pumpkin Pie, and Sorghum Custard Pie with Cornmeal Crust. Pies range in cost from $35-$45. Order by Nov. 19. Thanksgiving pie pickup is Nov. 24. Shelby pickup is at Foothills Farmers Market from 12-1 p.m. and Charlotte pickup is at Free Range Brewing from 4-6 p.m.
The Stanley
Get dessert off your to-do list by pre-ordering a pie from The Stanley. Options are a traditional pecan pie with whipped vanilla-bourbon cream, apple pie with crumb topping, and pumpkin pie with spiced whipped cream. $20 per pie. Wentworth & Fenn
Preorder your pie from this Camp North End bakery for $30. Flavors are spiced pecan, pumpkin, dark chocolate fudge, or bourbon apple crumb. Pick up Nov. 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Order via email to sam@wentworthandfenn.com.
