Where to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Charlotte

Plenty of options to share a romantic experience

This year, Valentine’s Day is on a Friday, which means you can enjoy the holiday in and around Charlotte all weekend long. From cooking classes to multi-course tastings, there’s plenty of ways to celebrate with your special someone, good friends, or even yourself. These restaurants, shops, and local spots have you covered.

Note: Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest restaurant days of the year and will be even more so this year as it occurs on a weekend. Be sure to book your reservations early.

Dine-in

Angeline’s, Uptown 
During Valentine’s Day Weekend, the restaurant will offer a special à la carte menu. Items include burrata bruschetta, broiled oysters, chocolate torte, and more. Make a reservation online

Counter-, Ashley Park 
The 10-course Power Ballad Valentine’s Day experience will take guests back to the 1980s. Plates will be inspired by Bon Jovi, Poison, Def Leppard, and more. $225. The five-course gallery dining room experience is $125. Feb. 12-25. Reserve a seat online

Dilworth Tasting Room, multiple locations 
Celebrate from Feb.14-16 at any location and enjoy a signature menu for two, featuring specialty cocktails. The Galentine’s Day brunch will occur at the Plaza Midwood location on Feb. 8 from 12-3 p.m. Guests can enjoy specialty cocktails, champagne with strawberries, and more. Make a reservation online.

Ever Andalo, NoDa
The restaurant will be offering a number of Valentine’s Day specials Feb. 11-16, including Australian wagyu tartare, grilled striped bass, lobster tonnarelli, and strawberry dark chocolate gelato. Make a reservation online.

The Foodie School, Fort Mill  
The Date Night: Be My Valentine class is offered from Feb. 11-13 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Guests will learn how to make crab dip, mashed potatoes, steak, shrimp, and more. $95. In the Galentine’s Day brunch class guests will create avocado toast, rosemary bacon potatoes, bread pudding, and more. Feb. 9 from 1-3:30 p.m. Reserve a spot online

The Garrison, Pineville 
Along with its full menu, the restaurant will offer a prime rib special on Valentine’s Day. It includes a 32-ounce Tomahawk ribeye, lyonnaise (sautéed) potatoes with caramelized peppers and onions, and broccolini. Make a reservation online

Haberdish, NoDa
The restaurant will offer a special $75/person Valentine’s prix-fixe menu in addition to its regular menu  Feb. 11-16. Options include roasted oysters, steak frites, wasabi fried chicken & waffle, and strawberry shortcake. Make a reservation online

L’Ostrica, Madison Park 
The signature tasting menu will be offered. It includes 10+ courses, exploring seasonal ingredients. $175. Celebratory wine options, cocktails, and more will also be available for the holiday. An abbreviated version of the tasting menu, offering 5-7 courses, is also available. $110. Make a reservation online

Merchant and Trade, Uptown 
On Feb. 13 from 5-11 p.m., the restaurant and bar will offer a prix-fixe menu in celebration of Galentine’s Day. The menu includes oven-roasted Caesar brussels, truffle fries, shrimp tempura, and more. $36. First come, first serve. For parties of six or more, please email info@merchantandtrade.com

Napa, multiple locations 
Celebrate the holiday with a three-course menu. Items include lobster bisque, pan-seared scallops, wild mushroom risotto, passion fruit cheesecake, and more. $75. Reserve your table online

Napa Kingsley, Kingsley  
On Feb. 12, the restaurant will host a Galentine’s Day celebration. Menu options include compressed watermelon, ahi tuna ceviche, duck breast, and more. 6:30 p.m. $125. Make a reservation online

Omakase by Prime Fish, Providence Park
The Valentine Grand Cru Dinner combines rare Japanese delicacies and fresh sushi with premium champagne, wine, and sake pairings. $750. Feb. 14-16. Reserve a seat online

Roots Cafe, South End 
On Feb. 13 and  Feb. 14, a prix-fixe shared plate menu will be offered. The menu includes poached lobster, butter bean hummus, ribeye, coconut almond chiffon cake, and more. $58. Reserve online

Rosemont, Elizabeth 
On Feb. 11, the restaurant will host the Wines We Love Dinner, featuring wine pairings. The six-course menu includes lobster toast, marinated betters, braised veal stew, salted chocolate-covered strawberries, and more. $150.75. Purchase tickets online

In addition to the regular menu, savory chef specials will be available from Feb. 11-16 — along with a special Valentine dessert, chocolate raspberry crème brûlée. Make a reservation online

Your Farms Your Table

The shop will offer a chocolate-covered strawberry doughnut Feb. 14-16. 

Renaissance Pâtisserie, SouthPark
The holiday menu includes strawberry mousse napoleon, pink vanilla eclair, chocolate-covered strawberries, heart-shaped vintage cakes, and more. Order online

Table & Twine 
The four-course dinner for two includes fruit and cheese, lobster carbonara, dark chocolate tortes, and more. Delivery and pickup are available Feb.13-14 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Order online before midnight the night prior. $169.99. À la carte items are also available.
