Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and Charlotte’s restaurants, shops, and local spots are offering plenty of ways to make the week special. Whether you’re planning a romantic dinner, a fun night out with friends, or just treating yourself, you have a range of options that include hands-on cooking classes, multi-course tastings, sweet treats, and more. 

Dine-In 

The Artisan’s Palate, NoDa
Offering a three-course prix fixe dinner on Valentine’s Day. Options include bacon-wrapped dates, three-day pork belly, mussels in white wine, marinated NY strip, scallops with pistachio & microgreens pesto, vegan empanadas, and more. $85. Dilworth Tasting Room, Dilworth 
Through a partnership with local businesses, the restaurant will celebrate Galentine’s Day with a guided wine tasting and pop-up shop. Feb. 7 from 1-4 p.m. Purchase tickets for the wine tasting online.

Ever Andalo, NoDa
Special Valentine’s weekend brunch (February 14-15) offers heart-shaped pancakes, lobster risotto, and lemon meringue panna cotta. Valentine’s dinner service specials include Beausoleil oysters. beef tartare, lobster veloute, herb-crusted lamb rack, and others. Make a reservation online.

Fahrenheit, Uptown

The Goodyear House, NoDa
Three-course Valentine’s Day prix fixe dinner offering choices of N.C. clams, beet salad, scallops with polenta, chicken schnitzel, spumoni, tiramisu, and others. $80. Steak for two option: $120.

Habibi Lebanon, Davidson 
The four-course dinner includes stuffed grape leaves, lentil soup, seafood grill, baklava, and more. $95++. Make a reservation online. 

Hermanita / Plaza Midwood
The speakeasy inside El Malo on Central has been transformed into a “La Serenata” through February 22. The seasonal popup theme reflects El Día del Amor y la Amistad (The Day of Love and Friendship), which is the Mexican tradition that celebrates not just romantic partners, but friends, chosen family, and community. A number of specialty cocktails and food specials are being offered throughout the event, including lobster burritos and La Rosa, a masa-washed gin cocktail feauring cranberry and Pimm’s.

L’Ostrica, Madison Park
The Valentine’s tasting menu options include multiple courses that explore various textures, flavors, and seasonal ingredients. Feb.11-14. $120+. Make a reservation online.

Omakase by Prime Fish, Cotswold 
Celebrate the holiday with a chef-led tasting menu, featuring Champagne, Grand Cru wine, and sake. $750. Make a reservation online.

Napa Restaurants, Myers Park-Eastover / Ft. Mill

Babe & Butcher, Montford 
The shop offers a variety of boxes that include heart-shaped brie, specialty cookies, meringue, and more. $15-$65. Place orders online. 

Chocolatier Barrucand​, Concord
Husband-and-wife Jean Luc and Ann Marie Barrucand team fully embrace the Valentine’s season with traditional red heart-shaped boxes filled with assorted bonbons and truffles, large heart-shaped chocolate bars, confectionery roses, and other romantic sweets. Shop at the store.

Reigning Doughnuts, NoDa
Last weekend of service includes a special Valentine’s Day chocolate covered strawberry doughnut.

Renaissance Pâtisserie, SouthPark
Offerings include holiday-themed treats like chocolate covered strawberries, heart-shaped cakes, cookie bouquets, eclairs, and more.

The Secret Chocolatier​, Cotswold
Since 2008, the chocolate shop has served over 75,000 Queen City chocophiles. This year’s Valentine’s Day collection includes white chocolate roses, Valentine’s cherries, Valentine’s box assortments, special gift bags, and a special dairy-free gift set. Order online or shop at the store.
