    Where to celebrate Father’s Day in Charlotte

    From brunches to crab boils, here’s how Charlotte is honoring dads

    It’s officially June, and Father’s Day is just around the corner. If you’re looking for ways to celebrate with family, here are some local options that’ll help you honor Dad — or any father figure. From vineyards to cooking classes, here are some food-focused ways to spend a special day.


    3rd & Fernwood, Midtown
    The restaurant will be hosting a special Father’s Day cookout brunch, Saturday, June 14, noon-4 p.m., offering bbq-inspired menu including oxtail sloppy joes, smoked turkey with rice Hoppin John, smoked wings, and pork ribs. Representatives from The Vintage Whiskey & Cigar Bar will be present selling premium cigars. Make a reservation online.


    The Bistro at Childress Vineyards, Lexington 
    Holiday fare includes fried chicken biscuit, blackberry glazed pork chops, prime rib, French dip sandwiches, Texas mozzarella sticks, and more. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Reserve a seat online


    Caroline’s Oyster Bar, Uptown
    On Father’s Day, diners will be able to add a lobster tail to any dish. $25. The menu will also feature exclusive holiday coastal drinks. 4-10 p.m. Make a reservation online


    “King for a Day” at The Crunkleton combines whiskey and wine tastings with a steak dinner.

    The Crunkleton, Elizabeth 
    The restaurant will host a “King for a Day” special event featuring fine dining and whiskey. After a guided whiskey tasting, guests will enjoy a four-course steak dinner with curated wine pairings by chef Karl Christensen. $288.08. Make a reservation online


    Drift on Lake Wylie, Belmont 
    Celebrate with a special pre-fixe brunch menu. $45++. The restaurant will also offer a pre-fixe dinner menu for the holiday. $70++. Reserve a table online


    Fin & Fino, Uptown 
    The Father’s Day all-you-can-eat crab boil includes snow crab, shrimp, potatoes, and more. 5:30 p.m. $50. Make a reservation online


    The Foodie School, Fort Mill 
    Guests will learn to make hot crab dip, garlic asparagus, truffle mashed potatoes, chocolate peanut butter pie, and more. 5-7:30 p.m. $89. Sign up online

    The Goodyear House, NoDa
    Bob Peters will host a free cocktail class at The Goodyear House on June 14 at 3 p.m. No reservation required. 


    L’Ostrica, Montford Park
    4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. seatings for a special Father’s Day à la carte menu which includes dishes such as Oysters Rockefeller, lobster crespelle, pork Milanese, ribeye deckle, and cherry tiramisu. Make a reservation online.


    Mac’s Speed Shop, multiple locations 
    Treat Dad to a Father’s Day meal at any Mac’s Speed Shop location and take home a bottle of Mac’s signature barbecue sauce on the house. Dine-in only. Flavors include Western NC, Carolina, SC Mustard, and more.


    Mizu, SouthPark
    The special brunch menu includes French toast, shrimp and grits, smoked brisket hash, kimchi bloody Mary, and more. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Make a reservation online


    Napa, multiple locations 

    Brunch specials include steak and eggs and a prime steak burger. Dinner options include lump crab cake, crispy calamari, grilled swordfish, and more. Make a reservation online.

    Reigning Doughnuts, NoDa 
    On Father’s Day, the shop will offer a bourbon buttercream doughnut. 


    Sea Level, Uptown 
    The oyster shucking kit includes a mini cooler, two dozen sea level salts, a keepsake shucking knife, and more. $75. Order in-store or online by June 13. Pick up on June 14 from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.  


    Steak48, SouthPark
    On Father’s Day, the restaurant will have special extended hours, opening from noon-10 p.m. Menu options include chef’s cut hanging bacon, braised pork belly, NY strip, bone-in filet mignon, sugar snap peas, boursin cheese whipped potatoes, and more. Make a reservation online


    Table & Twine

    The Father’s Day package includes house-smoked brisket, grilled chicken, loaded baked potato salad, butterscotch banana pudding, and more. Serves 6. $199. Place orders online


    Vaulted Oak Brewing, Oakhurst  

    Starting at 2 p.m. on Father’s Day, guests can visit Ricado’s Tacos food truck. Menu options include tacos, smashburgers, and more. 12-10 p.m.
