It’s officially June, and Father’s Day is just around the corner. If you’re looking for ways to celebrate with family, here are some local options that’ll help you honor Dad — or any father figure. From vineyards to cooking classes, here are some food-focused ways to spend a special day.
3rd & Fernwood, Midtown
The restaurant will be hosting a special Father’s Day cookout brunch, Saturday, June 14, noon-4 p.m., offering bbq-inspired menu including oxtail sloppy joes, smoked turkey with rice Hoppin John, smoked wings, and pork ribs. Representatives from The Vintage Whiskey & Cigar Bar will be present selling premium cigars. Make a reservation online.
The Bistro at Childress Vineyards, Lexington
Holiday fare includes fried chicken biscuit, blackberry glazed pork chops, prime rib, French dip sandwiches, Texas mozzarella sticks, and more. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Reserve a seat online.
Caroline’s Oyster Bar, Uptown

Bob Peters will host a free cocktail class at The Goodyear House on June 14 at 3 p.m. No reservation required.
L’Ostrica, Montford Park
4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. seatings for a special Father’s Day à la carte menu which includes dishes such as Oysters Rockefeller, lobster crespelle, pork Milanese, ribeye deckle, and cherry tiramisu. Make a reservation online.
