University City wine shop and tasting room The Wine Vault will open a second store this fall. The newest location will be in the Elizabeth neighborhood, next door to Sabor Latin Street Grill at 401 Hawthorne Lane. The shop will take the large corner space in the plaza on Seventh Street and Hawthorne Lane that also houses Adams 7th Street Market.

Due to delays in permitting, The Wine Vault’s opening has been delayed, but expectations are that the store will open later this fall.

Inside the tasting room, guests will find 15 to 20 seats. The University City location is a popular venue for its weekly wine tastings and live music. The new space will also feature a patio with a few tables in front of the store.

The second location of The Wine Vault will also focus on retail sales of domestic and international wines, and will offer wine and beer by the glass. No food will be available initially; however, Hawthorne’s Pizza and Sabor are steps away. Guests can also look forward to free delivery.
