The Wine Vault has been the “go-to” wine anchor in the University City area for 36 years. Owner Tim Wallace has owned and run the business for 21 of those years. A highly respected wine entrepreneur known for his warm hospitality and keen eye for unique and delicious wines, Wallace often plans events that reflect his customer’s tastes.

The Wine Vault has now opened a second location in the Elizabeth neighborhood – an area previously known to be “wine dry” – at Elizabeth Commons, on the corner of Hawthorne Lane and 7th Street., where Sabor Latin Street Grill is also located. The new location is still evolving, with additional seating and unique monthly tastings planned.
Customers are encouraged to purchase food from the neighborhood and bring it to the wine bar to enjoy with one of their many interesting bottle selections. There are also premade cheese and charcuterie plates available.
The wine selection reflects the eclectic mix of the neighborhood, and the prices are reasonable. You can purchase bottles of wine to consume on premise, purchase a glass of wine, or purchase a bottle or 12 to take home.
