Editor’s note: Because of construction delays due to snow, the Crunkleton has postponed its opening to Dec. 20.

Anticipated cocktail bar The Crunkleton will open on Dec. 17. This is the first expansion for bartender Gary Crunkleton, of the Chapel Hill namesake bar.

Crunkleton is well-respected in the beverage industry, with his bar earning national recognition. He’s also well respected in North Carolina for advocating for the sale of vintage spirits.

The new location of The Crunkleton will serve food, with a menu centered around open-hearth cooking. The bar is located at the intersection of Pecan Avenue and 7th Street, two doors down from The Stanley.

Memberships for the bar are available for purchase on The Crunkleton’s website, and cost $10. —Kristen Wile
