Siggy’s Good Food now only open for lunch
The owner says the change is due to staffing issues

Siggy’s Good Food is no longer offering early morning or dinner service.
The Belmont restaurant, owned by Siggy Solitto, serves healthy, wholesome dishes with a focus on sustainability and sourcing locally. It opened its doors in September, selling juices, smoothies, and coffees for breakfast, salads and sandwiches for lunch, and snackable plates during evening hours. With a thoughtful selection of natural wines, we loved Siggy’s as a place to snack on toasts and sip on a glass of wine over conversation in the late afternoon.
That’s still on option Friday through Sunday. The new hours at Siggy’s are 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
According to Solitto, the main challenge was staffing. She hopes to open the restaurant for dinner a few nights a week in the future. Brunch, with dishes such as banana pancakes and egg and cheese sandwiches, will still be served on weekends.
Siggy’s serves one of our favorite sandwiches in town, an organic, grass-fed steak sandwich. The marinated, sliced steak topped with mushrooms, onions, and mayo has a heavy rosemary note and is best served on ciabatta bread. For special diets, the Mediterranean grilled veggie sandwich is also flavorful and filling.
We spoke to Siggy late last year about her food philosophy and why she moved from New York to Charlotte. Read that story here. —Kristen Wile
