There’s a lot that goes into creating a restaurant’s ambiance, from carefully tuned lighting and color schemes to the staff’s attire. You can tell a lot about a restaurant’s personality by what’s playing through the speakers, whether it’s a carefully curated list or a rotation based on who is working that day. To help you recreate your favorite restaurant’s vibe at home, we’ve asked several restaurants that are serving take-out meals for their restaurant playlists. What they’re serving: Grab some ramen and a bottle of sake to-go from the South End restaurant.
What’s on their playlist: Their edgy playlist reflects Futo Buta’s irreverence with artists such as Led Zeppelin, Beastie Boys, and Radiohead.

What they’re serving: A shortened version of Kindred’s upscale but no-fuss menu is available for pick-up curbside.
What’s on their playlist: A well curated playlist reflects Kindred’s cool confidence, unabashedly playing everything from Al Green, The Notorious B.I.G., and The Beach Boys to Fleetwood Mac and The Black Keys.

What they’re serving: James Beard Award semifinalist Greg Collier’s menu is inspired by his upbringing in Memphis.
What’s on their playlist: With a restaurant meant to reflect juke joints, Subrina Collier carefully selected songs from artists such as Marvin Gaye and Al Green to bring that feeling to their dining room.
