Restaurants passing gift card sales to staff
Purchase a gift card at these restaurants to make a direct contribution
As restaurants remain closed for dine-in service, purchasing gift cards has become one of the most valuable ways diners are supporting their favorite restaurants. Gift card purchases are also becoming a way for restaurant owners to provide money for their staff. If you’re looking to support laid off restaurant employees directly, here are some of the places using gift cards and takeout to provide income for staff. This list will be updated. —Kristen Wile
Dandelion Market/The Workman’s Friend/Prohibition/Connolly’s
Of each gift card sold, 50 percent will be sent directly to staff in need. Gift cards can be purchased online and will be mailed to you. They can be redeemed at any of the restaurants.
Rare Roots Hospitality
Purchase a gift card and 20 percent will be given to staff. The restaurants — Dressler’s, Dogwood, Fin & Fino, and The Porter’s House — are also now offering takeout, with 100 percent of proceeds going to staff.
Sea Level/The Waterman
Gift cards can be used at either concept, and are available for purchase online. 20 percent of sales will go to a staff relief fund.
