Private dining rooms in Charlotte restaurants

Find who has private dining rooms and how many guests they can fit


If you are looking to host an office party, holiday party, or searching for a place to host family and friends this year, we have you covered.

Here’s a list of private dining spaces in Charlotte, in alphabetical order.

Angeline’s, Uptown
Angeline’s is available for a full buyout, but has a private dining room separated from the main dining area available as well. Minimums apply.
Capacity: 34 seated guests, 50 standing in the main area

Aria, Uptown
Dining room, house-made pastas, and dining options for nearly any party size.
Capacity: Main dining room, 120 seated or 150 for a cocktail reception; second-level dining room, 65 seated or 90 for a cocktail reception. You can also reserve curtained tables, the bar area, or the kitchen-side chef’s table with capacities ranging from 8 to 50 guests.

The Artisan’s Palate, NoDa
NoDa restaurant, gathering space, and art gallery. Minimums apply. Full buy-out option available.
Capacity: 75 in the main dining room, 60 people in the front patio area (partially covered), 30 guests in the outdoor (uncovered) secret garden patio, and 16 seated in the gallery.

Capital Grille, Uptown
An elegant, comfortable setting with fine dining and world class wines.
Capacity: 50 guests in the Exchange Room, 26 in the Wine Room.

Dressler’s, Metropolitan
Jon and Kim Dressler’s namesake restaurant is also available for a full buyout.
Capacity: One dining room seats 28 seated, 30 standing; the other fits 42 seated, 50 standing. The two can be combined for a 75-person seated dinner, or fit 100 during a cocktail reception.

Dilworth Tasting Room, Dilworth
Unique wine bar that also focuses on the four seasons and coastal Croation cuisine.
Capacity: Full and partial buyouts are available for the main dining room (up to 60 seated/115 standing) and garden (16 seated/35 standing).

Duke Mansion, Myers Park
This bed and breakfast is in one of Charlotte’s few historic homes.
Capacity: The Lineberger Library hosts up to 10 guests; the main floor can hold up to 200 for a cocktail reception

The Fig Tree, Elizabeth
French-inspired cuisine in the historic Lucas House. Minimums apply.
Capacity: 14 seated in Fireplace Room, 16 seated in Wine Room, 12 seated in Upstairs Split Room, 28 seated in Combined Room, 16 seated in Downstairs Split Room, 38 seated in complete downstairs, 26 seated on the covered porch, and 64 seated in complete downstairs (plus porch).

Fin & Fino, Uptown
Private dining rooms tucked in the back of the restaurant, or is available for a buyout.
Capacity: Fin Room, 24 seated, 30 standing; Fino Room, 45 seated, 50 standing. The rooms can be combined to seat 75 or hold 100 for a cocktail reception.

Foxcroft Wine Co., Dilworth
Private dining surrounded by floor-to-ceiling wine shelves in this wine bar, restaurant, and wine shop. Minimums apply.
Capacity: 32 seated or 45 standing for a cocktail-style event.

Haberdish, NoDa
Neighborhood favorite known for craft cocktails, fried chicken, and Southern sides. 
Capacity: Closed-in patio, 20-35 – dining room, 35-75 – full restaurant, 75-120
Buyout prices and availability are based on the date and time of day requested (brunch, lunch, or dinner). Food and drink will be included in the price of the buyout and the price will account for being closed to the general public. Send requests to haberdish@icloud.com.

Haymaker, Uptown
Uptown restaurant overlooking Romare Bearden Park is a stunner.
Capacity: The Mezzanine dining room fits up to 45, the Main dining room in restaurant style seating fits up to 40, and the two spaces combined is 95. The restaurant is also available for a full buyout.

Mama Ricotta’s, Midtown
Mama Ricotta’s, Frank Scibelli’s first restaurant, offers  family style dining.
Capacity: The Sunroom is available for parties of 25-45.

Merchant & Trade, Uptown
The rooftop bar above the Kimpton offers a stunning view of the city and offers a full buy-out option for over 125 guests.
Capacity: Can fit up to 125 guests across four separate zones. The indoor/bar lounge fits 25 guests; the outdoor terrace holds 40 guests, a private terrace can host 20 guests, and the lawn can hold 100 guests.
Minimum: Prices to reserve these spaces start at $1,000 and range to $12,000. Couch reservations are available for small groups, beginning at $6,800.

Classic barbecue in an upgraded dining room.
Capacity: The Glass Coral Room is available for parties of 12-20.

Mimosa Grill, Uptown
Centrally located on Tryon Street, Mimosa Grill is available for lunch and dinner parties. Minimums apply.
Capacity: 36 guests in private dining room, 30 guests for cocktail reception in Open Kitchen, 125 guests in main dining room, and 50 guests in the private patio

Napa on Providence, Eastover
Napa on Providence brings Northern California to the Queen City. No room fees. Minimums may apply, however.
Capacity: 12-22 guests in the Rutherford room and 20-50 guests in the Oakville Room.

Frank Scibelli’s Tex-Mex restaurant serves family-style or buffet dining during private events.

Rooster’s, SouthPark
Guests who rent space at Rooster’s can select a custom menu.
Capacity: The Cellar accommodates up to 22; the Wine Bar accommodates up to 80; the Green Room and Terrace, an indoor-outdoor space, fits up to 140 people and looks into the Copain kitchen; the Atrium fits up to 120

Upscale steakhouse cuisine with various options to accommodate private groups up to 75. Minimums apply.
Capacity: 28 guests in the Cardinal room, 40 in the Wine Vault room, 24 in the Magnolia room, 50 in the Upper Lounge, 32 in the Kitchen room, and 28 in the Chef’s room.

Supperland, Plaza Midwood
A unique dining experience with Southern and church potluck influences. No room fee, but minimums apply.
Capacity: 12 seated in the private Wine Room. Organizers can select from pre-set dinner packages or create a custom menu from the a la carte menu.
Minimum: $1000 weekdays, $1200 Saturdays.
