Relax and enjoy the holiday weekend by putting these restaurants and caterers to work

Memorial Day is right around the corner, which means it’s time to start making plans about the menu. This year, many of your favorite local restaurants will offer to-go options for holiday cookouts. These Charlotte restaurants will serve smoked chicken wings, bratwursts, collard greens, and more for Memorial Day.

Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen, LoSo
Memorial Day offerings include grass-fed burger packs (includes brioche rolls, cheese, and fixings), wagyu hot dog packs (includes, buns, chili, and smoked chili & rosemary mustard spread), vegetable kebabs, plus a range of sides and desserts. Order online for pickup.

Midwood Smokehouse, multiple locations
Party packs allow you to choose two meats and two sides, along with a variety of add-ons. Menu options include beef brisket, chopped pork, pulled chicken, BBQ baked beans, collard greens, sweet cream corn, and more. Feeds 4-24. $48-$185. Order online for pickup or delivery.

Noble Smoke, Wesley Heights, Optimist Hall
The restaurant’s menu offers a meat-by-the-pound option, which includes chopped Chesire pork, Creekstone beef brisket, Joyce Farm pulled BBQ chicken, and more. Additionally, Miss Mary’s Platter includes one pound each of pork, brisket, turkey, short rib rack, slaw, and pickled vegetables. Order online.

Sweet Lew’s BBQ, Belmont
Sweet Lew’s smoked meats can be ordered by the pound. $15-$30 per pound. Meats include smoked wings, pork ribs, whole chicken, smoked beef brisket, and NC chopped pork. Family sides, which are $15, include collard greens, boiled peanuts, mac and cheese, and more. Place orders online for delivery or pickup.

Table & Twine, delivery and pickup
The Memorial Day package menu options include chicken breast, bratwursts, herb-roasted fingerling potato salad, baked beans, grilled summer harvest vegetable salad, and mixed berry shortcake. $159.99. There’s also a Memorial Day sides and desserts option only for $79.99. Serves up to 8. Available for pickup in South End on May 25 and May 26 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Delivery is from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Place orders online.
