Kindred Restaurant will host Michelin-starred chefs for collaborative dinner series Michelin on the Road. Michelin on the Road is hosted by the same group behind the coveted, global restaurant guide, which currently only rates a handful of the cities in the United States: New York, San Francisco, D.C., and Chicago. The dinners bring Michelin-starred chefs to cities that are not yet covered by Michelin.
The Kindred dinners will feature collaborative tasting menus. See the full schedule below:
Sunday, April 28: Matt Lambert, The Musket Room
Lambert is chef and co-owner of his New York City restaurant, which opened in 2013. The menu focuses on his native cuisine of New Zealand. The Musket Room has held a Michelin star since 2015.
Sunday, July 7: Brandon Jew, Mister Jiu’s
The owner and executive chef of this San Francisco restaurant has cooked around the world, and his restaurant focuses on modern, locally-sourced Chinese cuisine. Mister Jiu’s earned its first Michelin star less than one year after opening.
Sunday, August 25: Aaron Silverman, Rose’s Luxury
This no-reservations restaurant in D.C. was on the inaugural list of restaurants with Michelin stars in the city when Michelin came to D.C. in 2016. Silverman’s curated, contemporary menu celebrates quality sourcing with small plates and family-style dishes.
Tickets for the final dinner go on sale Aug 9. at 5 p.m.; get them here. These events sell out very fast. —Kristen Wile
