Help send local wine shop owners to New York
Cork & Crate’s owners are finalists in a Wine Spectator contest
A local wine shop is in the finals of a Wine Spectator video contest. The magazine selected six finalists among the video entries, which tell each person’s wine story, and Cork & Crate owners Christopher and Lakendra Walker are among them. Their video is titled “Wine Saved our Marriage,” and in it, the married couple details how they found a shared passion for wine, and how that passion helped reignite their passion for one another.
The winner of the contest gets two tickets to Wine Spectator’s annual wine festival in New York City, and will be selected by fan vote. Help the Walkers win by voting for them here.
The couple opened Cork & Crate in late 2017, and keep a carefully curated selection on their shelves, so shoppers aren’t overwhelmed by options. There are a few tables in the rustic main space, as well as a large table that can host tastings or private events in the back room.
