Hello, Sailor will host its first collaborative dinner on Jan. 31. Sailor’s executive chef Craig Deihl and Joe Kindred, co-owner of both concepts and chef at Kindred, will be joined by Elliott Moss. Moss is the chef and co-owner of award-winning barbecue restaurant Buxton Hall in Asheville. Moss is also a two-time James Beard Award semifinalist.
The dinner will be served family-style, and the menu includes pâté en croute (pâté wrapped in pastry) by Deihl, St. Louis-style ribs by Moss, and whole smoked ducks by Kindred. The event marks Hello, Sailor’s first collaborative dinner.
Reservations to the event sold out in about six hours, according to Katy Kindred, but those who missed out can get on a wait list by searching for reservations on January 31 and selecting “notify me” on reservation app Resy. There were 120 reservations available. The dinner has not yet been priced, but will likely be $80 a person. There’s a chance more seats will open up, so keep a close eye on the reservations if you’re interested in attending. —Kristen Wile
