Fill up on eggnog this weekend
Get your last sips in before the season ends

The eggnog at Crêpe Cellar is frothy and served with a spoon. Kristen Wile/UP
At home, I make a lazy eggnog: Homestead Farm eggnog with a bit of bourbon or rum in it, depending on how I’m feeling. Like any holiday tradition, though, everyone has their own way of serving the decadent, spicy drink. Here are three places to get your nog on before Santa’s sleigh is back in the garage. —Kristen Wile
CREPE CELLAR
This eggnog is unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Served out of a whipped cream canister, the eggnog is more like a milkshake than a drink. Served with a spoon and made with duck eggs, this drink, made by Dustin Lail and playfully called “Duck! Or You’ll Lose Your Noggin,” earns our recognition as the most inventive version of the classic holiday drink.
DOT DOT DOT
It looks like Stefan Huebner will take home the grand prize for his coquito recipe in a Don Q contest, and to celebrate, he’s pouring the award-winning recipe for the Puerto Rican drink at Dot Dot Dot. Instead of egg, coquito uses coconut cream, evaporated milk, and condensed milk, and today is National Coquito Day! Huebner’s recipe uses toasted winter spice-infused Don Q.
FIN & FINO
This drink is off-menu, but if you’re not going off-menu at Fin & Fino, you’re not doing it right. Led by Brittany Kellum, the bartending staff here (nicknamed BK and the Clams) shines with bartenders’ choice orders. If you’re feeling feeling festive but not in the mood for something so rich, the hot buttered rum cocktail is a cheery alternative.
