Dine out or cater in meals this Christmas
Here are the restaurants and take-out services offering family-style meals and special menus

As the Christmas holiday approaches, it’s time for dinner plans to be solidified. Celebrating with loved ones can be as simple as ordering takeout or getting dressed up to share a meal at one of these Charlotte restaurants. This year, they are offering pecan-crusted salmon, milk bread dinner rolls, espresso mousse, and more.
Dine-In
Church and Union, Uptown
On Christmas Eve from 2-9 p.m., there will be a three-course prix-fixe menu offered in addition to the regular dinner menu. Menu items include white chocolate mocha torte with cinnamon and more. $75 per person and $30 for children 12 and younger. Normal brunch service is from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Make a reservation online.
Duckworth’s, multiple locations
The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Christmas Eve serving its regular menu, which includes blackened salmon salad, hand-battered fish and chips, chorizo burger, and more.
La Belle Helene, Uptown
On Christmas Eve from 2-9 p.m. there will be a three-course prix-fixe menu offered in addition to the regular dinner menu. Menu items include potage parmentier (potato and leek soup) with sage and potato crumble, garlic lamb rack, mont blanc with black currant mousse, and more. $80 per person and $30 for children 12 and younger. Link & Pin, multiple locations
Link & Pin will serve its full brunch menu and switch to a dinner menu at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Menu options include duck pastrami, crispy oysters, Cajun chicken pasta, roasted carrots, jalapeño bacon, Belgian waffle, shrimp and grits, housemade donuts, and more. The last seating will be at 8 p.m. Make a reservation online.
Moon Thai & Japanese, SouthPark
The restaurant will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and will serve its full menu, which includes spring rolls, fried crab wonton, duck noodle soup, red curry, and more.
Santé, Matthews
The annual Christmas dinner show includes a three-course meal with professional caroling. Menu options include roasted butternut squash soup, pecan-crusted salmon filet, pan roasted chicken, bûche de noel, and more. $80+ per person. Reservations can be made online for shows until Dec. 21.
Steak48, SouthPark

Steak 48 will have Special extended hours on Christmas Eve, opening from 12-9 p.m. Menu items include prime steakhouse meatballs, crispy shrimp deviled eggs, chopped napa salad, NY strip, Chilean sea bass, double baked truffle potato, asparagus fries, and more. Make a reservation online.
Stoke, Uptown
Diners can choose to be seated at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., or 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Menu options include mom’s deviled eggs, pretzel brioche, she-crab soup, wood finish smoked turkey, spaghetti squash casserole, the one pound donut, and more. $80 per person, $25 for children 12 and under, and children under three eat for free. Takeout/Catering
Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop, Birkdale
Nine inch pie flavors include key lime, snickerdoodle, chocolate cream, coconut cream, nanny’s pecan, and more. Vanilla and candy cane thumbprint cookies and cloud cookies are also available. Order online.
Copain, SouthPark
Menu options include farro salad, coal-roasted squash, smoked trout dip, Joyce Farms ham, slow-roasted NY strip, bourbon-braised collard greens, sweet potato casserole, and more. Dishes feed 4-6. Dessert options include coconut cake, decorated sugar cookies, gingerbread or white chocolate peppermint tart, and more. Order online for pick up on Dec. 22 or Dec. 23.
Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen, LoSo
Menu items include seared N.C. flank steak, spice-rubbed lamb shank, smoked pork loin, brussel sprouts, spaghetti squash, cheddar biscuits, gingerbread whoopie pie, and more. Pick up and delivery are available on Dec. 22 from 12-6 p.m. Order online by 3 p.m. on Dec. 18.
Field Pea Catering
Menu options include burrata caprese sandwich, Noble’s chicken salad sandwich, deviled egg potato salad, wood-grill salmon, grilled flank steak, lamb meatballs, banana pudding cake, cherry hand pies, and more. Milkbread, multiple locations
Orders of a dozen milk bread dinner rolls are available. $12. Pick up on Dec. 22 and Dec. 23 from 2-4 p.m. Order online.
Patrick’s Gourmet Catering, Windsor Park
The holiday dinner includes jumbo cocktail shrimp, roasted beef filet mignon with potato gratin, haricots vert, and red wine truffle sauce, flourless chocolate cake, and more. $85 per person. Pick-up from Halal mobile Kitchen on Dec. 23 from 3-5 p.m. and Dec. 24 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Order online.
Reid’s Fine Foods, multiple locations
Offerings include sliced beef tenderloin platter, spiral ham, lobster tails, candied sweet potato mash, garlic green beans, mini biscuits, falafel bites, pumpkin pie, 12-layer caramel cake, and more. Primary pick-up dates are Dec. 23 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Dec. 24 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Complete orders by Dec. 20 at 5 p.m. for best availability. Renaissance Pâtisserie, SouthPark
Menu options include balsamic glazed salmon, scalloped potatoes, caramelized brussel sprouts with fig glaze, and more. Each dinner will be packed with a choice of bread, salad, soup, and bûche de noël. The family pack for four is $229 and for six is $299. Á la carte items include peppermint cheesecake, Bûche de Noël, and more. Pick up Dec. 23 and Dec. 24 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Place orders online.
Salted Melon, South End
The gang’s all here package includes 22 half sandwiches, one large salad, one large side and a large cookie platter. Serves 20-22. The get together serves 14-16 and the small gathering services 8-10. Salads include artisan kale caesar, cobb, market chop, and more. Sides include baked potato salad bowl, couscous with pesto bowl, and more. Large serves 20 and small serves 10. Something Classic
The Christmas Eve dinner options include a charcuterie board, holiday salad with dried cranberries, striped bass, dark chocolate pomegranate tart, and more. $300. A la carte items are available. Pickup is available at The Morehead Inn on Dec. 23 from 1-5 p.m. and Dec. 24 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Delivery on Dec. 23 is available. Place orders online by 12 a.m. on Dec. 19.
Sweet Lew’s BBQ, Belmont
The holiday menu includes deviled eggs, smoked shrimp, smoked turkey breast, beef tenderloin, smoked turkey, baked mac and cheese, herb roasted potatoes, key lime pie, and more. Place orders online.
Table & Twine
Order everything from appetizer packages to a full meal. Traditional holiday feasts include ham or tenderloin, with traditional sides such as glazed carrots, green beans, and mashed potatoes. Meal options up to 10 people, $50-$600. Place orders online for delivery and pickup.
Your Farms Your Table, Wesley Heights
Christmas dinner options include a dinner package or a lasagna tray. The dinner menu includes bibb wedge salad, holiday charcuterie, roasted dry-aged prime rib, fall vegetable casserole, hot chocolate cheesecake tart, and more. Serves 2 for $160 and 8 for $480. Lasagna trays come with bolognese sauce and serve 12 guests for $125. Order by Dec. 15. Pick up on Dec. 23 from The City Kitch from 5:30-7 p.m.
