Common Market South End is open
Renovations on the Tremont Avenue space are finally complete

Common Market has finally reopened in South End, Charlotte magazine is reporting. The beloved original South End space closed in July 2016 before the building that housed it was knocked down, and that following November I wrote a story for Charlotte about plans to reopen the following summer.
Construction took much longer than anticipated, however, and the combination deli/market/bottle shop is opening its doors now, a year later than anticipated. The new location is on Tremont Avenue, just past the intersection of Hawkins and Tremont at 235 West Tremont.
We’ve got something fun we’re working on about the new Common Market, and that will be posted in the next week or so. The new Common Market has a similar vibe to the old one, with lots of quirks. Have you been? Let us know what you think in the comments below. —Kristen Wile
