Charlotte restaurants offering special Valentine’s menus
Reservations are going fast for the holiday

Now that February is nearly here, it’s time to consider where you want to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Charlotte. This year, Feb. 14 falls on a Tuesday, so you should plan to narrow down your options. Make a reservation or place an order at one of these Charlotte restaurants and businesses to celebrate the holiday.
300 East
Offering a special three-course Valentine’s Day dinner. Options include roasted cauliflower with pecans, fried oysters, scallops with buckwheat pappardelle, cast iron chicken, and chocolate tart. $55/person. Reserve a table online.
Angeline’s
Angeline’s Valentine’s celebration runs between Feb.10-14 from 5-10 p.m. The regular menu will be offered with items such as seasonal burrata, whipped ricotta, salmon piccata, herb roasted chicken marsala, sweet potato gnocchi, and more. There will also be a four-course tasting menu, which includes stuffed portobello, sweet potato gnocchi, surf and turf, and crema bruciata. $75. Reserve a table online.

Pair food with wine at this unique restaurant experience. While the catalog features more than 500 wines, there will be a focus on its Tuscan wine collection for Valentine’s Day. Make a reservation online.
Billy Sunday
The Galentine’s Day cocktail class is on Feb. 16 from 8:30-10 p.m. It includes an introduction to classic cocktails, tools of the trade, and bartending basics. Guests will collaborate on making three drinks and learn about the history of the cocktails. $55. Reservations can be made online
Bulla
There will be a four-course prix-fixe menu, which includes a chef’s meat and cheese board and tapas selections such as salmon carpaccio, braised short ribs, cheesecake, flan de coco, a sparkling wine toast, and more. Make a reservation online or call 704-837-4432.
Church and Union
The three-course prix-fixe menu will include mussels, pork belly, duck breast, strawberry shortcake, and more. Price is based on entree selection. $90+. It will be offered from Feb. 10 through Feb. 15. Make reservations online.

There will be a 10-course Sicilian dinner with a focus on Italian wine, including wine from Sicily. Make a reservation online.
Dot Dot Dot
The Famous Love Letters experience is a cocktail pairing dinner event that’s part of a music and literature dinner series. There will be a five-course dinner with cocktails that are inspired by famous love letters. Menu items include an oyster appetizer, a beet salad, filet mignon, white chocolate mousse, and more. Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. $379 per couple. Tickets can be purchased online.
Fin & Fino
The restaurant will offer a four-course dinner on Valentine’s Day. Menu options include an octopus and andouille skewer, beetroot soup, lamb rigatoni, whole branzino, panna cotta, and more. $115 per person, including tax and gratuity. Make a reservation online. Free Range Bar
The bar at Camp North End will host the cultivating community dinner series on Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m. It will be a three-course vegan menu curated by Plant Joy Chef Julia Simon. Food will be paired with Free Range beverages. Menu items will include legumes, vegetables, and mushrooms. Guests will listen to a poetry reading by Erin Coffin. $85.
Haymaker
The three-course prix fixe menu options include buttermilk fried quail, beet salad, beef short rib, salmon, roasted duck breast, lemon cheesecake, and more. There will be a seating at 5:30 p.m. and one at 7:30 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. $85 per person. Make reservations online or call 704-626-6116.

On Valentine’s Day, there will be a special on the menu prepared by Chef Tommy Vance — saffron and shellfish risotto with scallops, shrimp, mussels, and calamari. There will be two Valentine’s Day dinners. A Valentine’s dinner with Paul Hobbs will be on Feb. 17. The 12 courses, including wagyu and sushi, will be paired with Paul Hobbs wine. The Valentine’s dinner with a sake master will be on Feb. 18. The collaboration with Sake Sommelier Sara Guterbock will include 12 courses paired with wine and/or sake. $500 per person.
