    Charlotte restaurants and bars with live music nights

    From brunch on the patio to jazz and a glass of wine, here’s where to jam out at local eateries


    With the end of summer quickly approaching, Charlotte restaurants and bars are offering a plethora of live music features and events. From classic rock, jazz, and even DJs, this list curates an array of atmospheres and music styles. Here’s where to go for nights of fun, food, and folk. This list will be updated. 

    The Bottle Tree in Belmont has live music every Sunday, as well as live music one Thursday a month. You can find more information via their website, thebottletreenc.com

    Bradshaw Social House in Ballantyne has always had a reputation for live music, as well as karaoke nights. Every Thursday at 9 p.m., enjoy and participate in karaoke nights, and on weekends, enjoy live music from local bands. 

    Catawba Brewing hosts musicians each Friday night, from 6 to 9 p.m.

    If you’re a fan of jazz, Dilworth Tasting Room on Tremont Avenue offers two jazz singers every other Wednesday night. Enjoy your dinner while the musicians play jazz classics.  

    Dressler’s patio is a great vista for live music organized by Metropolitan in Midtown. This occurs every Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. The music is held on the patio of the Greenway, and lasts till September 9th. 

    Sundays at Free Range Brewing consist of free live music, and a wide selection of local drafts. Stop by Sundays at 3 p.m. to catch that week’s local artist or band. 

    The Goodyear House brings music to its large NoDa patio each weekend, with musicians on Saturdays between 3 and 7 p.m. and Sundays from to 4 p.m.

    The Local in Uptown often holds sponsored DJ events Friday and Saturday nights. The bar and social club brings in high-profile DJs including DJ Nevy, DJ AMinor and more. 

    Lucky Lou’s Tavern in Myers Park hosts karaoke every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. This event is hosted by Chubby’s karaoke, and starts at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, and 9 p.m. on weekends. 

    Noble Smoke also hosts live music every Saturday night, from 6 to 9 p.m. The musicians play by the Beer Shack, which serves beer on tap and in cans, frozen cocktails, and a paired down barbecue menu.

    Poplar Tapas, in Charlotte’s historic Fourth Ward neighborhood, brings live music to its quaint patio each Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.

    Reid’s Fine Foods in SouthPark offers live music featuring artists such as Rare Roots, Andy Ball, Ellie Morgan, and Reinaldo Bahn. Reid’s weekly schedule of live music is constantly changing, so be sure to sign up for their newsletter for weekly updates. 

    Enjoy Thursday Night Live Music at Rosie’s Coffee and Wine Garden on North Davidson Street. It is a free event, with music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

    The music yard at SouthBound hosts sporadic live music events and fundraisers. Past events have included infamous Nashville singer Cassidy Daniels, popular DJs, and a Dancing With the Stars fundraiser. 

    Stumptown Station in downtown Matthews hosts different local bands every Friday and Saturday evening. The performance runs from 9 p.m. to midnight.

    The Wine Loft in South End offers live music every Friday and Saturday. Enjoy a diverse wine selection, as well as a new band every weekend.
