Another local chef is getting the chance to compete against celebrity chef Bobby Flay on his Food Network show, Beat Bobby Flay: Troy Gagliardo, the corporate executive chef over the Bottle Cap Group restaurants and bars. Those restaurants include All-American Pub, Hot Taco, Whiskey Warehouse, Ink ‘N Ivy, and Papa Doc’s Shore Club, among others.

The episode (Season 24, Episode 6) will air on Sunday, March 15 at 10 p.m. Titled “The View from the Top,” the show will feature chef Michael Symon and Sunny Hostin of The View as they look to find a chef who can beat Bobby Flay. To cook against Flay, Gagliardo must first beat New York chef Pom Amaritnant.

Gagliardo isn’t the first Charlotte chef to compete on the show this year. Upstream’s executive chef, Sam Diminch, beat Flay recently.

A viewing party will take place at Papa Doc’s Shore Club, located on Lake Wylie, from 9 to 11 p.m. —Kristen Wile
