Our Take: A good value red that can complement a variety of foods.

Fun Facts: : 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Buzet is about an hour southeast of Bordeaux city. The soil is clay and limestone, which provides a good base for merlot and cabernet sauvignon. While it is not as famous as Bordeaux for its wines, it has been a wine-making region for hundreds of years. The Avi property has been making wine for 90 years, and Christophe took over the operations in 1973. He follows organic and biodynamic production methods.
