    20-Buck Bottle: A widely-available red

This wine is easy to find and easy to drink

    Wine: Duckhorn’s Decoy Pinot Noir
Available at: Total Wine and most supermarkets
    Price: $17.99

On the nose: Ripe black cherry and red fruits with a hint of salted meat

On the palate: A heavier body for a pinot noir with bright fruit flavors and notable acidity

On the plate: This is a great wine to pair with a cheese plate to help cut through the fat while not overpowering milder cheeses.

Our take: This is one of those ones that’s smart to have on hand for unexpected company. A pinot noir is enjoyable for most palates, and this one has enough complexity and body — and a low enough price tag — to pop open any time.  —Kristen Wile
