Where to pre-order Thanksgiving dessert in Charlotte

Thanksgiving this year is not the year to worry about dessert or making fresh baked bread –– we’ve done plenty of that already while quarantined. Support local bakeries, restaurants, and caterers this year by ordering gourmet pies, cakes, and breakfast baked goods and enjoy your holiday break with close family and friends. Here is where to get Thanksgiving desserts to go. Restaurants are also offering pre-order Thanksgiving dinners or a la carte items this year. Stay tuned for a separate guide on where to dine at restaurants this holiday.
Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen
In addition to Thanksgiving sides, Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen also has pies and breads for order, including pumpkin pie with vanilla whipped cream, pecan pie with bourbon and chocolate, and fresh baked dinner rolls (8 pack) with whipped herbed butter and honey butter. Pies are $30 and dinner rolls are $15. Order by November 20 at 4 p.m. for pick-up November 24 or November 25.
Moonbox Bakery
The pop-up bakery has partnered with Freshlist to offer Thanksgiving dessert with vegan and gluten-free options. Available for purchase are caramel pecan apple cake (vegan), chocolate chess pie, pumpkin pie (gluten-free), and sweet potato oatmeal cream pies. Cake and pies are $30 and serve 8, cream pies are $25 and serve 6. Select delivery or pick-up for November 24.
Reid’s Fine Foods
Order breakfast baked goods, dessert, and fresh baked breads from the upscale marketplace. Options include mini sweet rolls, mini biscuits, yeast rolls, chocolate pecan pie, apple pie, cherry or four berry cobbler, 12-layer caramel cake, or chef’s assorted dessert platter. Prices vary between $7 to $60 and serve 4-12. Order via phone from Reid’s in Myers Park or SouthPark by November 21 for pickup on November 24 or November 25.
The Stanley
The Elizabeth restaurant has three traditional Thanksgiving pies for order: pecan pie with whipped vanilla-bourbon cream, apple crumble, and pumpkin pie with spiced whipped cream. All pies are $20 and serve 8. Order by November 22 by 3 p.m. by email or call 980-299-2741.
Sweet Spot Studio
Find a creative way this year to entertain and serve dessert. Sweet Spot Studio has two Thanksgiving cookie options: personalized table setting cookies ($5 per cookie) or a pumpkin pie cookie platter ($22, serves 6). Gluten-free options available.
Wentworth & Fenn
The gourmet bakery in Camp North End has beautiful seasonal pies to make your Thanksgiving dessert table stand out. Pumpkin spice pie with tea cookies on top; bourbon-pecan pie with dark chocolate, butterscotch, and sea salt; apple crumble pie; chocolate fudge pie with buttermilk cremeux; and zesty lemon pie with torched meringue. The 9-inch pies are $30 and serve 8-12. Preorder by November 21 and pick-up November 21 through November 25. Email to place orders.
Your Mom’s Donuts
Your Mom’s Donuts has breakfast baked goods, dessert, and fresh baked breads for Thanksgiving this year. Take-and-bake cinnamon rolls, cranberry orange scones, apple galette, sourdough, baguettes, and walnut apple gorgonzola brioche rolls. Donuts include pumpkin pie, sweet potato casserole, chocolate pecan pie, and cranberry goat cheese filled with sage sugar. Prices vary between $4 to $27. The deadline to preorder is November 19 for pick up on November 24 or November 25 from their Matthews, Park Road, or Davidson (Mom’s Bazaar) locations.
