UP Job Opening – Sales Representative
Unpretentious Palate is seeking a food-loving salesperson who is as passionate about the importance of local food journalism as we are.
This position will be commission-based, with responsibilities including:
- Recruiting new sponsors for Unpretentious Palate events, including dinner series, the Charlotte StrEATs Festival, and the UPPY Awards
- Seeking corporate clients to buy bulk subscriptions
- Working with potential newsletter partners to create custom offerings
- Being a representative of the Unpretentious Palate brand
This position will allow you to work on your own hours, with 25 percent commission on new sales and a sales goal of $120,000 per year. This position will pay a $1,000 bonus following your first $5,000 in new accounts. We are looking for someone who is seeking a lucrative side hustle or flexible part-time work. This role will be a kickstarter to get your foot in the door in the hospitality industry as well as influencers in the Charlotte region. Service industry experience a plus.
