    Q&A: Will we have a James Beard Award winner this year?

    Each week, we answer reader questions


    Q: We’re seeing Aida at the Belk for my birthday. Where should we have dinner? Any recs?
    Kristen: I’d suggest Fin & Fino or Sea Level N.C., which are both a short walk. I’ve also always loved the food at the Asbury, which is the closest of the bunch, though the dining room doesn’t have the same kind of special occasion vibe. Have a blast!

    Q: Do you know of any restaurants offering meals to-go for Passover this year?
    Kristen: We’ll have a list of Passover and Easter takeout published for you next week. Stay tuned!

    Q: Do you think we have a chance of winning a James Beard Award this year?
    Kristen: Yes, I do! Chef Greg Collier has made it to the final five, and I think the menu he serves at Leah & Louise is so unique and personal, he’ll wow the judges.
