Q: My boss’s admin just asked me which of these restaurants we should go to for our leadership team dinner (7 of us): Sofie’s Steakhouse, Blacow, Golden Owl Tavern, Edgewater Bar & Grille. Any advice? This is more of beer/ bourbon and burgers type crew than something fancier.
Kristen: I’d say Golden Owl Tavern. The chef there is Andres Prussing, who was at Stoke for a long time and very talented. If you’re open to another suggestion, I’d try to reserve a table at Dogwood. They’ve got a great whiskey collection, awesome cocktails, and a killer burger during happy hour at the bar.

Q: Is Monday’s Meet the Chef dinner be the last one for the year?
Kristen: Yes! Our Meet the Chef dinner with Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen is our last seated dinner for the year. We’ll be back with dinners next year after a holiday break. Hope to see you there!

Q: Where can I find great tomato soup in Charlotte?
Kristen: I enjoy the tomato soup from The Culture Shop! Another go-to tomato soup spot of mine is Papi Queso.
