Q: Can you tell me more about this awards event you’re planning? When is it and how can I attend?
Kristen: It will be the first weekend in November, and you’re invited! We’re planning an event to unveil the winners of our first annual UPPYs, which celebrate the best in Charlotte’s food and beverage industry. It will be a cocktail party with food, drinks, and lots of toasts. Stay tuned — we’re hoping for tickets to go on sale next week.

Q: Will you be doing another cocktail kit closer to Christmas?
Kristen: Yes! If all goes as planned, we’ll be featuring the fan favorite bartender from each of the kits we’ve done so far for a grand finale. The one we’re selling now will be the last one until December, however.

Q: Is Amanda Britton still at Orto? I haven’t seen her there lately.
Kristen: No, she’s no longer working there. You can find her at Lincoln Street Kitchen & Cocktails, next to Craft in South End.
