Here’s how to get help with your holiday feast in 2021
While it may feel like this holiday season came quickly, it’ll be over before we know it. With busy holiday calendars on top of everyday tasks, preparing a lavish Christmas dinner may seem like a large feat. Luckily, some of your favorite local restaurants have you covered.
If you’re thinking of dine-in or takeout options for your family this year, here’s a list of restaurants in Charlotte where you can get your Christmas meal.
Dine-In – Christmas Eve
A three-course prix-fixe menu as well as a la carte items will be offered. The menu includes sweet potato soup, pork belly, duck confit, arctic char, bone-in ribeye, a chocolate swiss roll and more. $70 per person. Dinner will be served on Dec. 24 from 3-9 p.m. Reservations are now available on OpenTable.
Aqua e Vino
A traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes dinner is served family style. Guests can choose three antipasti, two primi, two secondi, and dolce. Menu items include insalata mare—classic italian cold seafood salad; risotto al nero—carnaroli rice, black sepia ink; totani farcit—stuffed calamari, broccoli rabe; tronchetto di natale—Italian style yule log, and more. The Crunkleton Charlotte
The Crunkleton’s Christmas Eve dinner offers options for bar and dining room seating. There is no minimum or deposit required for the two-hour reservation. The menu will include the classic dinner menu and seasonal specials. Reservations open 14 days in advance and can be made online. La Belle Helene
Celebrate Christmas with a three-course prix fixe menu at La Belle Helene. Menu includes foie gras torchon, lacinato kale salad, herb crusted prime rib, coq au vin, Bûche De Noël, a chef’s selection of ice cream and sorbet and more. Available on Christmas Eve from 3-9 p.m. $75 per person. A la carte offerings are available. Reservations are now available online.
Napa on Providence
Celebrate the holiday with a three-course pre-fixe menu that includes your choice of starter, entrée such as braised lamb shank or pan-seared filet, and dessert, with extra sides available as well. Make a reservation by phone to 704-900-8535.
Stoke’s Christmas Eve dinner offers sophisticated spin on traditional holiday menu items. Menu includes mom’s deviled eggs, pretzel brioche, silky cauliflower she crab soup, sunburst trout, broccoli and cauliflower casserole, the donut and more. Dinner is served on Christmas Eve from 1-6 p.m. $65 per person. $25 for children under 10. Free for children under three. You can make reservations online.
Takeout pre-orders will be offered on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Menu items include whipped ricotta, beet and arugula salad, grilled pork chops, roasted cauliflower steak, roasted fingerling potatoes, lemon ricotta cheesecake and more. Order online. Angeline’s will also offer a family style holiday feast on Christmas Day.
Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen
Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen has various gluten free, vegan, dairy free and vegetarian options. The menu includes seared flank steak, wild bass filet, smoked pork loin, maple mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, winter salad, nutella pie, chocolate cake and more. Items are prepared cold to reheat for dinner. Place orders online by Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. Pick up is Dec. 24 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Delivery available.
Confections of a Martian
One dozen donuts includes four vanilla glazed, two chocolate bourbon pecan pie, two eggnog cinnamon rolls, two lime gingerbread, and two cranberry fritters. $40 per dozen. Order online. Pick up is at Hex Coffee in Camp North End on Dec. 24 from 12-2 p.m.
The Duckhorn Holiday Wine Dinner includes a four-course dinner for two, a bottle of Duckhorn Chardonnay, a bottle of Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon, two riedel wine glasses, a box of truffles and tasting cards. The menu includes seafood louie salad, wild mushroom polenta cake, filet mignon and lobster tail or filet mignon and shrimp scampi, and orange olive oil cake. Starting at $105 per person. The at-home experience is available until Jan. 3. Order online.
Leah & Louise
Leah & Louise Chef Greg’s holiday family meal feeds 4-6 guests. It includes sweet potato bisque with apple cream cheese and smoked candied pecans, collard green salad with hoop cheese, smoked pecan caesar and braised short rib, rice dressing, field pea cassoulet. $85 per meal. A la carte dessert includes Arthur Lou tart, cranberry-ginger layer cake, peppermint swirl cheesecake, a dozen malted milk chocolate chip cookies, and a dozen sorghum gingersnap cookies. Pick up on Dec. 23 from 3-5 p.m. at The City Kitch. Order online.
Milk Glass Pie
Holiday items include a holiday cookie box with an assortment of 20 holiday cookies, eggnog custard pie with marshmallow meringue, holiday quiche, cranberry-ginger buttermilk pie, and red-eye pie. Prices range from $35-$40. Orders will be available for pickup on Dec. 23. Write “pick up” in order notes. Order online.
Patrick’s Gourmet Catering
The three-course menu includes dessert. The first course is duck foie gras torchon, brioche toast, and lemon fig jam. The second course is Oysters Rockefeller (4 per person). The third course is venison filet, celeriac mashed potatoes, haricots vert, and grand veneur sauce. Dessert is tiramisu with Baileys Irish Cream crème anglaise. $125 per person. Something Classic’s holiday dinner care packages can be a great gift or a great option for you and your family.
